Understanding Energy Security - May 13, 2009 (Time TBD)

Learn more about where your tank of gas really comes from and where it might come from in the future.

Tour the Flying J Refinery in North Salt Lake, a complex, high conversion refinery that supplies fuel products to many Flying J travel plazas and select customers in seven western states. This sophisticated facility has a total capacity of 35,000 barrels per day (more than one million gallons) and refines a combination of Utah, Wyoming, and Canadian crude oils into high-quality motor fuels and other specialty chemicals.

Following the tour, join a discussion with USTAR officials about the future of energy - tar sands, heavy oil, oil shale and more.
